Career Change After 35, 45 or 55: Is It Too Late to Start Again?

Healthcare is more than just a profession—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives every single day. As Canada’s aging population continues to grow and the demand for quality healthcare services increases, Personal Support Workers (PSWs) have become one of the most valued professionals in the healthcare system.

The NACC Approved Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma Program at ABC Access Business College is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on clinical experience needed to succeed in today’s healthcare environment. The program combines comprehensive classroom instruction with real-world clinical placement, giving students the confidence to transition smoothly into the workforce.

Throughout the program, students develop essential skills in personal care, mobility assistance, infection prevention and control, communication, safety procedures, and providing compassionate support to individuals of all ages. They also gain valuable experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and patients requiring daily care in professional healthcare settings.

Graduates are prepared to pursue rewarding career opportunities in long-term care homes, hospitals, retirement communities, home care agencies, and other healthcare organizations across Ontario.

If you’re looking for a career that offers purpose, stability, and the opportunity to positively impact your community, the NACC Approved PSW Diploma Program is an excellent place to begin.
